Dr. Rovner grew up in Washington D.C. and attended college and medical school at the University of Maryland. He completed a five-year internship and residency at the University of California at Irvine. He then completed a one-year fellowship in spinal surgery at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center, an affiliate hospital at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Rovner was the first fellowship-trained orthopedic spinal surgeon in the Pleasanton area, starting his practice in 1985, and joined Webster Orthopaedic Medical Group in 1998. He is Board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Board of Spine Surgery. He is also an Assistant Professor in Adult and Pediatric Spinal Surgery at the University of California at Davis Medical School.
Dr. Rovner specializes in spine care including minimally invasive techniques for spinal surgery, endoscopic spinal surgery, and scoliosis surgery as well as nonsurgical care of the spine. His practice also encompasses arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine and joint replacement.
